Booking a hol for next year and the apartment owner has asked for a deposit of £100.
I am satisfied with the honesty part of the deal but what is the best way to send him the money?
No friends are going there this year to take it with them.
do you both do paypal I find this most convenient to pay someone money.

solved, he says too expensive to do bank transfers etc so tells me to "pay on arrival".
It makes you wonder why he is asking for a deposit in the first place doesn't it? Most folks will be coming from abroad.
yes, he will have the same issue with most of his customers, although I think many of his customers are repeat visitors

thanks Booker, problem sorted now, but the apartment we have booked is in Turgetries anyway, should have said that in the first post.!
Incidentally, since I posted he has been in touch and sent me (via e-mail) a fully itemised booking form which is confidence building.
