Hi Guys
I'm going to Malta in april, staying at the Hotel Riza in Qawra, i'm looking for any tips on places to go, things to see and average costs for eating/drinking out, also what are the prices like say for spirits etc to bring back home ?
Any info you can give is well appreciated.
Regards
Just.
Well mifty12, It is always hard to give a good picture of what one person needs to spend on holiday as no two people are the same as to what they drink of a night time, or if they just go to a pub, or clubs. Prices I think have gone up since my last visit 2 years ago, but this new year 4* hotel prices were about the same as you pay in a pub at home and most of the pubs I went in charged 60c or £1.00 per pint and wine about the same.
Food can be good value but again its were you eat the more fancy the more the price, as for spirits I thought they are cheaper at the English airports than in the shops/airport in Malta.
As for trips you can do a lot of trips yourself ( see my post. Try this ) I find if you get a good guide book and a bus timetable you could save a lot of money other than going on excursions with tour firms.
Have fun
Dave
