Dr. Aqua Fernandes above Newtons, is a genuine guy. I did not have implants but had new crowns on all the top teeth, and a bridge, and two large crowns on the bottom. Can't remember exactly what I paid but it was approx. £1200, in that price were canal fillings, cleaning and whitening the lower teeth. My daughter works in a private dental clinic at home and she costed out my treatment which would have cost well over £10,000. My teeth have been examined over here and the dentist were very impressed. What more can I say.

Nobody was saying that the dentists there are not genuine although I am not sure if you are allowed to name people and make personal recommedations on the forum.

What is being said is that implant treatment is very invasive with a lot of recovery time needed and may not be suitable to cram into a two week holiday period.

Fillings, cleaning and whitening are completley different.

All whitening in the UK is private treatment as it is considered to be cosmetic so it will be expensive, but it isn't complex in the same way as putting in titanium implants.

The other thing to consider wherever implant surgery is done is that it is a specialist treatment and not all dentists however good they may be at general dentistry are experienced or trained to do it. My Uk dentist who has cared for my teeth very well for 20 years would not do it. He is super at all the general stuff including bridges, crowns, root canals etc but passed me on to a highly trained team of specialist implant surgeons. I had 2 of them dealing with me. One did all the planning and then dealt with the fitting of the crowns at the end and the other did the placing of the rods. Before I let them loose on me I spoke to other patients who had this surgery and had a free consultation to discuss it.

I have had all my dental work including implants done in Goa and have been delighted with the work.
when i had the implant i had to have a bone implant and sinus lift too as my bone density had reduced and my sinus had dropped down into the space ... i cannot believe how well it all went... i had not a moment of pain at any point during any of my implant procedures.. i could not believe it!! I also had photos taken at every point of the implant by my dentists husband (who is also a Dr) :rofl i have them on my computer God the size of the drill and the hole is unreal!!!!

I had to leave 6 mths between the implant and the tooth (crown) going on same as in the UK, and my dentist had a specialist come to the surgery to do the work with her assisting him. this was a few years ago now and so far...touch wood touch wood!!!

I have no regrets at all..but must say i wouldnt recommend it being completed on a 2 week holiday :yikes
