Hi sunshinehereicome,
Monorail - literally across the road from the Premier Inn walk up escalators or take lift ... 2/3 min from hotel:-)
We have only used Meet and Greet once several years ago (sorry, can't recall name of the company) and would not use them again ... over charged us and we waited approx. 45 mins for car to be returned to airport. I'm sure there are reliable Meet and Greet companies out there, but I would read posts on Trip Advisor regarding Meet and Greet before deciding!!
Regards,
Pat

Thanks Pat I will take a look.

Hi , security not busy at 4am !!! Sorry but it is ( that's what my wife does for a living , she starts work at 4am ) just have a peek at how many flights leave each terminal by 6.30 each morning and they are starting to go through central search from 4am

( just don't underestimate it )

I am able to use speedy security or premium lane as its called , not really that much difference , I wouldn't pay extra for a hotel or parking to get it as a perk , using the monorail is no problem

It will take you around 5/6 min max to leave premier inn and be in the south terminal , I've previously stayed at hotel in one terminal and flew from the other , all very easy
I would do your own parking , I used a meet and greet once , not really that impressed !! Plus we get free parking at long term ( staff perk !! )
  ( staff perk !! )
All in all I would choose premier inn , they are a standard set up , so you know what you're getting , and Lenny always seems happy

I often fly out early (between 6-7am) from Gatwick and have always found security busy for those early flights.

We usually stay at the Gatwick Airport Central Travelodge and park at the on-airport Long Stay South Car park - haven't had any problems so far.

Hi , SSHIC, if you park at Gatwick long stay north terminal the transfer bus arrives back at the front of the NT just opposite the premier inn , the transfer bus takes a max 5 mins and are frequent , this is the cheapest place to park on site

Hi. Can anyone tell me where I can best sit once in departures, North Terminal, bars or restaurants that have a view of aircraft or runway. Don't want to spend ages in shops, wud rather sit with a drink and brekkie and watch the planes. Thank you. X

And .. Go to the upper level in the NT , then the restaurants etc along the top have views across the apron and towards the runway , any from wagamamas to Jamie's , Starbucks and EAT to get a table near the window and watch .
