We are a family of 5, looking for a holiday destination for mid July, early August and would be a first visit to the island of Majorca.
With it being the Summer holidays, we are under no disillusions that anywhere we go will be partically quiet but we are hoping that someone will be able to offer information on quieter areas of Majorca, away from the night life and party scene. We always stay in self catering apartments/homes and do not like staying in resorts, holiday clubs etc
We would love to eat at authentic restaurants rather then burgers, take aways that kind of thing and we love travelling around sight seeing the wonders of what each location has to offer.
So are there any areas on the island that remain non touristy?
Any spectacular beaches where you are not all crammed like a tin of sardines, especially with calm waters and any beaches great for snorkeling.
Thanks for any information given
I would look at the west coast parts of the island as that seems to be the area that we as tourists have yet to completely turn into a mini part of the UK. There are some nice fishing villages etc and have retained that true Spanish feel.
Sounds great, thank you MCole. I shall take a look.
