Someone mentioned recently how they would love to be able to see the night skies without all the light pollution, luckily here in Scotland that is something that is relatively easy for many, however I thought I would just point out that in the Border region there is the UK's first Dark Sky Park, there are only 2 other Dark Sky Parks in the whole of Europe.
Perhaps a short break to the area?

Sark in the channel islands is a dark sky island, worth an adventure
In England this is good and Northumberland is a great area to visit.
It was me who mentioned seeing the sky without light pollution. Thanks for the link Nic, even better it's not too far for us to travel as we live in the North East 👍
I stayed in Glentrool in Dumfries and Galloway in May near the Dark Skies park - stayed in Calsharg Cottage. Was beautiful
