If the dates fit - and especially if you can travel outside of the main school holidays - Virgin are selling return tickets from Gatwick to Havana for as little as £399 including taxes! I can highly recommend the company that brought this to my attention - unfortunately I've already booked the flights for my October trip because at the time I thought that I was unlikely to find anything cheaper than the £450 I paid with Thomas Cook.

That's a fantastic price. No good for me of course.
It truly is, Fiona, and if this fare had been available when I was booking earlier in the year for myself and my two nieces I'd have snapped it up because we could have had a couple of days in Havana either at the beginning or end of our trip to Santiago because these fares are available on our dates. Aah well, just goes to show sometimes it is cheaper to wait! I can only imagine that seats are selling slowly because people are anxious about what the Trump effect might be on te embargo etc?
