Anyone travelling out of Manchester Airport T2 this summer needs to brace themselves for a financial shock if they intend to park there. There's building work going on which has significantly reduced the availability of parking - and so pricing is rocketing upwards. Also, even if one goes for one of the cheapest options - like for example JetPark3 - then get ready for a long drive around the carpark looking for a space.
One can try all the usual techniques to get discounts like TourOp offers, APH, BCP, Matalan card, etc, etc - but you are likely still to be financially skinned. And don't even dream of turnup on departure day without prebooking - you will either need a second mortgage or you may find the parks completely full.
It's so bad that, if I hadn't booked my hols a long time ahead, I'd be thinking of choosing a different airport, just because of the horrific parking issues at Manchester.
It is far, far worse this year than ever before I've experienced there.
