booked the Epic Hotel And Apartments For July Any Info Would Be Great Tina
Edited title for other members info Briar
Epic is in Marmaris.
I stayed in the epic aparts a few years ago and they were great. there is a large pool and bar at the rear and a cocktail bar at the front. There is a shop inside and a hairdressers I think! They are located in Armutalan about 20 mins gentle stroll from the beach, 5 mins from market and 20 mins from town center. Just down the road is the great corner restaurant, it serves really good food at reasonable prices (no I am not on commission!!!). The apartments are roomy and all have balconies overlooking the pool.
Nice pool and bar with good sun terrace above bar as well as beside pool.
As mentioned by Chelsea boy the best bit about Epic is that it is next to the Great Corner restaurant. The manager Harri is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet and as we were self-catering, this became a bit of a home-from-home for us.
Epic is quite a bit away from centre of Marmaris/sea-front.
Sounds like we'll be visiting the Corner House on a regular basis.
As long as the appts are clean we'll be happy.
We knew the Epic was quite a distance from the beach and the center of Marmaris.
Been told you can catch a dolmus at a very resonable fare so it should'nt be a problem.
We also enjoy walking as long as it's not up a mountain lol.
Really looking forward to our first visit to Turkey.
Thanks again
Tina

Hi we to have booked at the epic hotel, cant place it been to marmaris for 4 years now stayed in the armalutan area last couple of years cant say i seen the epic. last year stopped at the meridian hotel can recomend that one next to the elvis resturant. 4 of us are going this year from newcastle had trouble getting booked every thing is getting taken up we got the last day flights from newcastle..Turkey seems very popular this year
epic is near club Julian and no.45 on Ht map. Its not far from the anfitheatre , and Club Ilayda.
Just look at the number visiting the forum to see how popular Turkey is.
I have just booked to stay at the Epic apartments in October. I've gone diy. Got daytime flights from Gatwick for £169 so all i have to do now is arrange transfers and i'm there. Well chuffed.
We are also booked for the Epic this year in August. Last year stayed at the Portobello and I can't seem to work out whereabouts it is in relation to the Portobello
have a look on the ht map, epic is no 45, if you start here and go south to yunus nadi cad turn right towards Siteler and follow this road to the bend, then that is the roundabout near the portobello. 10 min walk from one to the other.
Hi all, does anybody know the true location of the Epic apts in Marmaris? as a few sites are claiming it is close to the beach where as others are claiming it is in Armutulan area, number 45 on the Marmaris map. Is it possible there are 2 of them? any help would be grateful, thanks
epic aparts are in armutalan..... 20 mins walk from the beach... no.45 on map is about right
Thanks Chelsea boy
Doodles the apartments definitely do not all have balconies that overlook the pool (sorry Chelsea boy) We booked diy for 4 apartments and only one overlooked the pool. In great position and dolmus pass frequently if you can't be bothered to walk into the centre of Marmaris. Just be very careful of the waiter who wants you to visit his "brother's" jeweller's shop!! Not his brother. He's on commission and goes mad if you be polite enough to go and visit (like us) then don't buy!! Apartments were clean though.
Thanks al321. We've met a few con men over the years and are experienced enough not to fall for it Happy holidays

welcome to turkey.... there is more commission earned than wages... some people actually use waiters to buy a house....... bargain yourself and shop around........
Chelseaboy, have no objection to anyone making money. We have been to Marmaris several times and had told said waiter that we had no need for jewellery as we had bought it on previous visits. He asked daily for us to go and visit this shop and to be honest we thought maybe he got commission to get people in the door. Stupidly we went even saying on the way "you know we wont be buying". When we eventually got out of the shop he really lost it and said we'd wasted his time and why go looking if we weren't going to buy then stormed off leaving us dumbfounded outside the jewellers. Never experienced anything like it in Marmaris.
some people dont seem to get the message, do they. The commission system is everywhere here, if they do genuinely get you a good price then thats good. Normally you are just paying 20% over the odds.
After some advice please, considering booking these apartments, we want 2 rooms 1 for us and 1 for my 17yo lad and his mate, been offered 3 alternatives; s/c studio apartment, sc apartment and b&b apartment all similar priced have the studio apts got a balcony? or have the b+b rooms got a fridge? any comments would be appreciated, looking to book in September. Regards
hi we stayed at the epic in 2004 it was fantastic. th studio appt were at the top of the hotel quite big and they did have a balcony. the b and b rooms were on the groung floor just a basic hotel room on fridge hothis will be of some help if your boys are not likely to go for breakfast i would go for the studios .
