We managed to get the packing done with no rows. I just know to hide when OH is packing!! We had an evening flight to Heathrow and was a little concerned about the hurricane we were due but it behaved and just had horizontal rain to put up with. Aberdeen airport really should have at least a covered set of steps to the plane. The new BA lounge is nice though. BA have recently decided to up it's Club Europe fare from a cheese and ham panini to a 3 course offering. It's certainly a big improvement.
We had to get to Gatwick so used Roadrunners which was only £10 more than the express bus. Taxis are a lot cheaper than Aberdeen. We stayed at rhe Hilton which has some horrific reviews but i thought it was ok. Only paid £65 for it. Not bad when its attached to the terminal. OH is still stressing now about the £16 for a beer and Bacardi and coke!!
We are now in the lounge- first time I have been in this one and it's quite nice. O H tried in vain to get me to have a white wine but I stuck with orange juice. 6 am is just s bit early!
Getting through airports is always the main mission for OH and I end up exhausted with running to keep pace!
Not long till boarding now. Fuerteventura here we come!
