I have read a few of these lists but I really like the fact that the NY Times has a few different places. Have a look HERE

Number 24 is one I would obviously recommend!

Any you have been to and would recommend? Or are any on your to do list?

I've been to 19 of the places listed, a few on the list I would still like to go to. I've always wanted to go to Iran.
Doubt I will ever get there or any of the other places now as my travelling days are practically over. Some great memories though.

I can't open the article because I don't wish to register with the NYT much less take out a paid subscription :-)

I had the same problem SM, I went on to another browser and the article appeared straight away without any requests to register or subscribe.
