Today I booked a few Day's away in a Hotel in Cornwall using their website.
They had an offer for Evening meal and B+B so I clicked on the book now link at the bottom of the page and followed the instructions.
A little later I received a confirmation that only mentioned Breakfast in the package so I mailed the hotel and they say because I booked through Booking.com I was not entitled to the Evening meal as it is not in Booking.com's package.
I then retraced their booking process and their website re directs you automatically to Booking.com's website with no warning, the page even still looks like the Hotel's site and because I did not pay extra when booking if I cancel I loose all of my money.
Is it even legal to direct you to a third party site without notification? And is there any other recourse open to me.
Thanks.
