I would phone the hotel & explain. Ask them to try & book via their website. Did the confirmation email come from booking.com?

I emailed the Hotel yesterday and explained exactly what had happened and they have yet to reply.
The booking confirmation email came from the Hotel.

I book through Booking.com regularly & always receive confirmation invoice from them.
