is it still up and running ??
sent them an email about a trip a few days ago and not heard anything back, I know things can be a bit slow but doesnt inspire confidence,
Don't worry!! It certainly is still running! Excellent company!! Eddie WILL respond I can guarantee that!
Yes they are still running, but Eddie's wife has had an accdent at the weekend and has broken her arm so he might be a bit slow in replying.
If it was about the Dandeli trip this can be booked on your arrival with no problem. If you want to send me your email address via the private messenger I'll pass it onto Eddies home email and i'm sure he'll get straight back to you. ( Pam 7 will vouch that this is genuine)
oops i am sorry to hear that, wife is much more important than my moaning
Am flying out to Goa on 26th Feb and want to book a trip to taj mahal. I am not sure which of the above companies to use, any recommendations???
del
Never done the Taj trip....but have done numerous trips with Daytripper...can't fault them!
were can i find info on thses trips ,,thanks
Here is Daytrippers website....
http://www.daytrippergoa.com/ and they do the Taj Mahal Tour
Whats your flight :fly, we are flying out again on the 26th of feb too from gatwick flight FCA0044 16.30, Cant fault Daytrippers used them christmas just gone, they do many trips, they are on the main road in calangute opposite holiday street. Ive just checked their website Flew from Goa to Delhi had an evening tour of the city then 1 night in hotel, next morning up very early for the train to Agrah. We saw plenty of other sites as well as the Taj (this place is stunning and would go back some other time).
Had guides all the way,and all very informative - quite a bit of travelling but worth it.
Cost £800 for the 2 of us (seems a lot, and others would say do it yourself, but it is a daunting place to get around if you haven't got the time to spend up there)
If you are going to Goa for 2 weeks i would book the trip at the end of your 1st week as you will need the 2nd to unwind again.
Any more info just pm me.
Hi we leave on the 5th March for 3weeks staying in Calangute and was looking at the daytrippers site as we are thinking of doing the trip to Bombay would welcome any info from anyone who has done this trip with them.
his shorter trips. We used Davidair for a Kerala tour and I have nothing
but praise for the way it was all organised. I know that Emmy who runs
the company allso arranges Taj tours of varying duration. Because of
the distance flights/trains etc it will probably cost as much as your
holiday to Goa did. My opinion for what it is worth is that unless you
are there for 3/4 weeks it is better to do the Taj tour in a a seperate
holiday altogether. Davidair web site is http://www.com2goa.com

Am flying from gatwick on the 26th at 4.30pm, booked the holiday with First Choice, so I am not sure what airline we are going with.
it cost us £300 pound for myself and my sister and my daughter whos 15, and when we added it all up to do it ourselfs we had been ripped off good style!!
we should of been pcked up at 5,45pm on the friday but the miibus was late we got picked up at near 6.30pm as wewe,r supposed to get train at 6,45pm so the driver had to put his foot well down!! had a couple of near misses!! then when we got on the train it wasnt first class as we had been told and payed for it was a three tier sleeper, (we couldnt complain to our guide keith as he was nowhere to be seen, from getting on the train to the saturday night we never seen him when he was supposed to come to see us he never turned up!!) which was so noisy through the night, there was food served all night that you had to pay for but saying thyat the best curry i had in goa was on that train!! it was a chicken biriyani and it was beutifull it was cooked just right and was lovely and hot, and you could get drinks and fruit as well,
then after 12 hours in the train we get to bombay at around 6-7in the morning, gets a taxi to our hotel which was the ocean palace on the front near the gateway to india, we got to the hotel around 7.30ish am and we couldnt get in our rooms till after 9 they made us a pot of coffee and one of tea and no one could drink it as the cups all tasted of deisel!!!! no joke
we had to ask 3 times to get a fresh drink which we needed after the train journey,we had no chance when we finaly get to our rooms which we,r lovely and clean and big and well furnished we decided to rest for a couple of hours and then go out shopping if you want to go bargin shopping you have no chance as all the good shops are miles away (a good taxi ride away) so all that day we made our own fun , well the next morning we went for breakfast and thats when the fun started!! the restaraunt manager was a very abrupt and if you asked for anything he ignored you, the poor waiters tried there best but they had trouble as they didnt understand english one bit, i ordered toast and was told to eat the cold toast that was left on the table before we got down to breakfast!!
we tried to complain but as we said there was no rep to be seen!! evreyone complained about the breakfast and there was 12 of us on the trip in all there was not one happy face, well we we,r left again to our own devices again all that day we didnt no where to go or what was best to see, well then we did finally get to see the rep he showed up at 5.30pm on the second day we told him we wernt happy and he said he would sort it out .well that night we had dinner??????? in the hotel all 12 of us and from start to finish it was a shambles!! we got things we didnt order and we didnt get things we had ordered we had a couple of hundred rupees added to the bill for service charge which wasnt shown on the menui ordered a chicken curry and got a kebab!! the place was in an uproar!! and once again no rep!! evrey one contested there bills which we,r all wrong we all went out to a local bar and the rep finally showed up as the hotel was nearlly haveing a riot, again he said he would sort it out and then he proceeded to get drunk!!! well on the sunday morning we went on the sightseeing trip that is in with the price you pay , we got picked up at 9,15am and we went for a tour of all the sights in bombay which i must add was brilliant and was well worth going on we saw some truly good sights, well we got back to the hotel at 1.30pm and had the rest of the day to ourselfs, and we got picked up at 6.30am the next morning and when we got to the train we found we had nearly all the train to ourselfs which was brilliant,
the moral of this story is do not do the trip with daytrippers as you can well do it really cheaply yourselves its pennies to get to bombay and then just get a cheap hotel room there are millions around, because in the price we payed ther is no food included at all exept your breakfast which you dont get as the waiters cant understand you, even though they try,
and then just go on trips yourselves you will save a FOURTUNE!! i bet you could do it all for about £50 each i have learnt and wont make the same mistake twice!!!!!!!!!! we was well ripped off!!
it must be the same as ours first choice airways 0044
I am currenently scouting round for info for a DIY trip, but only being in Goa for 2 weeks don't really want to be up there for 3/4 days,so are looking into return flights or flight one way and train back.Any more info on this would be great - i'm checking through forum now as i think someone posted flight costs, but i understand these can change on a daily basis so if anyone knows the average return price please let me know.
Rhys...it is the same flight, going to try and check in early so that we can get good seats. Didn't manage to get extra leg room seat this time round. Can't wait
