Actually he will kill me for that one, he didnt enjoy the bar as much as me,and he really did;nt appriciate how much fun it was taking the local buses instead of taxis
Lin, ah the local buses, what a must. Mapsa about 9 rupees Panjim out 16 rupees. We've even been to Palolim and Kerim beach by bus from Calangute. It's a long trip, but very enjoyable. Last time the kids on the bus gave us cake and in return we bought them water at one of the bus stops. Such good memories.
Last time we caught a bus i was the only one standing and i was the only female on the bus, i had to give my old man a seat as he had the hump because i'd made him get on the bus, i can't understand what the problem was i had saved him 992 rupees
3 week holiday in Goa. Foolishly I thought that this would make a difference when travelling by public transport. Don't be fooled if this happens to you. Coming back from Mapsa I thought I was going to get trampled on. There was a stampede when I tried to get off the bus. No-one was bothered that, a) I was a woman, or b) I was a woman in plaster. It was every man for himself, trying to get that empty seat.
Thank you all for your suggestions, I can in all honesty say i am completely underwhelmed, and to anyone i promised a free drink to, it does'nt count because i had my fingers crossed
Surely Pauly from the Peacock gave you some ideas for the wedding song, wasn't there one about "in China they do it with Chillies?" Ha ha ha
We actually go on the 24th!!!!!! looks like we'll be getting on the plane you get off!!:))))
Have you been to heratige club before??
Have a great time......
Chris.....
Hello Laura and Shane, good to have you back with us, althought i guess you won't feel the same, come on you can do better then that, although that is the best so far. You have lots of manicures booked for nov
No this is our first time and we are really looking forward to it. I was really pleased to read one of your posts a few weeks ago saying you were going back and how much you enjoyed it, what a shame you are arriving and we are going would of been nice to of met up, perhaps we can wave at the airport. Stupid question but are the pool towels ok or should we bring our own any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
Enjoy your hols
Sue
yes, pool towels are ok but best to take your own (or buy there...soooooo cheap) for the beach etc....
I'm sure you'l have a great time!!
Chris....
It will all end in tears!
you sound like your talking from experience, they do say practice makes perfect, took me 4 times to find Mr Right but finally got there and we are considering renewing our vows in Goa, but not yet, give it a few more years yet
Jayne
I can't wait and what a place to do it
Have been fleeced twice - sore subject....
You never know Steve they say " third time lucky"
Catering will be supplying mutton & fish curries tandoori/garlic chicken roast beef, rice, potatoes, chips, samosas fruit salad icecream and a 3 tier cake there will of course be the obligatory fireworks.
During the ceremony a guitarist plays 5 songs, the hardest part for me will be not giggleing during the sermons, as they are slightly overly soppy with wording that could only be written in goa, as anyone who has read the local papers will understand.
But i am looking forward to it very much.
Lin
Hi lin b good song for davy at the end of the ceremony

Allan.
