We are thinking of staying in Amadores next year - my other half went to Puerto Rico about 12 years ago and is not sure if he wants to go back. Has anyone stayed in Amadores - we are in our early 30's so looking for pubs mainly. Any advice would be great. I really fancy going here but need to convince the other half!!

It's 5 years since we visited this area. It has a beautiful beach and at the time there were a few bars and restaurants dotted about but building work was vastly in progress at the time so am sure there is more to it now.

I would check for building work around any hotel you decide to book.

Just come back from Puerto Rico. Amadores is just "round the corner". Beautiful beach.
Plenty of bars and excellent restaurants all over the place.

If we had the money ,we would buy an apartment there.

Hi we stayed in the gran amadores apartments last year and we are returing to the mirador de atlantico next door to gran amadores in june.We really enjoy this area it is quiet but if you want it busy you are only a short distance from both the europa and commercial centre,we enjoy walking and there is a lovely clifftop walkway from amadores straight through to pr harbour,or you can get a taxi which only costs a few euros.
Amadores beach is stunning it is a manmade beach and you get a lot of people walking thrugh from pr to use it, there are resturaunts and bars on the beach and i can recommend ciao ciao.
