:D Its a cracking little beach in s,illot.Dont know your apts. Sa coma is a very short stroll (5 mins) for a variety of entertainment and another fabulous beach. If the family is really energetic then a walk to the headland watchtower the other side of sa coma is a must. It is an old tower where they used to look out for pirates in the old days. There is a bar up there so you can all quench your thirst after a walk. From the tower you look out over the next bay to cala millor. To find your way, just find the Ranchero at the other end of sa coma and simply follow the trail away up the hillside. When my kids were 6or7 i took a little donkey and cart from the ranchero and we plodded on up that way!. Have a lovely time.

sillot is lovely. there is a lot to do but sillot is not massive . in the last five years me and my mate have been six times. we love it. its very child friendly. there is a road train that takes you to cala millor and cala bona, also a safari bus that takes you to the zoo (all reasonably priced). they can be caught in sa coma which is a short stroll over a foot bridge. the beach is lovely, and the sea is shallow. also try and do the caves of drac.

hi i was in sillot last year. your apartment arcos playa looks nice we were only in it once. the beach is very close about 4 - 5 min. also the magic park over the bridge watch for it up a side street is good for kids plus you can sit and have a drink. someone said to go to caves of drach we thought it was rubbish just a big cave but if you must go take the local bus and pay when you get there to get in. we took the trip with direct holidays and paid 28 euros if we had went with the bus it was only 8 euros including entry. the prate show is good but you are late back and it is very busy. try buddies bar on the beach for your breakfast if it has the same owners it is good reasonable priced and very clean. we are going back this year as it is great for kids not a lot of traffic. we went to marineland to see the dolphin show the dolphins were great but it was a long hot day so very tired. the waterpark is bril but look for lockers for your stuff as some people did not know about them and had to carry there stuff about all day. we think it is a great resort outr kids are 6 and 10 hope you enjoy

we stayed at the playa moreya last year and it is a nice clean basic apartments. we had a 2 bed apt and the rooms were big. they also have 2 bed apt with 2 bathrooms. if you have any requests you can e-mail tham there web page is www.playamoreia.com we e-mailed last year and got everything we asked for. they have a small playy area and alfonso the kids rep is very good with the kids my son was 5 last year and he loved it. if you go over the bridge and walk for about 5 min up a side street you will find magic park it is great for kids with motor bikes trampolines a train and you can sit and have a drink the rides are all worked with tokens you just put your money in a machine and get your tokens to work the rides. we are going on the 5th july this year as we liked it that much it is a very child friendly area with not a lot of traffic. hope you enjoy. only downside we say was no air con but the fans in the bedrooms were okay.

Hiya,

Family holiday to S'illot coming up. My parents who have just turned 60. Me who's 33, hubby 26 and 20 month old son.

Can anyone give me any info of where's best to go that will suit us all. What bars, resturants etc. Is there anything for the wee one to do?

All suggestions very welcome.

Thanks :D

Going to S'Illot in August with hubby and kids (7 and 10), read some bad reports on the Arcos Playa Apartments, this is the first time we've been on a foreign holiday together and I'm a bit disappointed with these articles, can anyone reassure me??

Angela,

My family and I are going to the Arcos Playa. We are going in September.

Could you please let me know what you thought of them as we too have read some scary reviews.

Hi, yeah no problem, I'll be back on 20th August, hopefully with some good news!! I know I said I had read some bad reviews but I've also seen a few good ones, maybe it depends on individual taste. (I hope so anyway, I'm not that fussy, as long as I get a clean bed and no strange looking insects!)

I'm in Silliot at the moment at the playa moreya and its a really nice quietish resort. The weather at the moment is hot with a breeze which is very welcome as the heat is high. There are lots of places to eat and children are very welcome. There is a magic garden which allows children on 2 bouncy castles for 3euros with no time limit. will post a more detailed report when i return.

Just back from S'illot. Quite a quiet resort compared to Sa Coma which is just over a bridge about a 10 min walk. A few souvenir shops, a good hypermarket and a few pubs and restaurants. We loved the lunchbox which was really cheap and good value. Also Toni's again cheap and good value.

We ate in the chinese restaurant one night - the food was fine only we got our chips about 10/15 mins before our duck came out. We were that hungry we had almost finished them before the rest came! Then one of the men that worked in our apartment told us not to go there as it was "dirty"!

The beach was fantastic - you can buy sunbeds and umbrella's for 3.50€ each but we tended to just use our lilo's and towels! It was extremely clean except when there had been a thunder storm (which didn't last very long) the next day the sea was a bit dirty but had cleared up the following day.

Will definately return to S'illot.

Last time we went to these apts. we used Direct holidays, but they don't seem to have them in their brochure now. Anyone know which, if any, tour co. have them in their brochure.
thanks
