Apparantely this is the creme de la creme of hotels on the island of Tenerife. Supposed to be even better than the Bahia del Duque!!!

I have been there and it is absolute magic. we went on an ordinary package to and booked directly with the hotel and got a brilliant deal for half board. There were no children when we were there lots of old people and rich I would think, but that was in October, maybe more children will be there in May. The Lor Parc is well woth a visit for adults and Children and lots of other things to see and do. Puerto de la Cruz is nicer I think than the south of the island although it is a bit cooler

That's why i don't know it, i'm only up on the apts in las Americas. I'll have a look on the web in a min for some infomation, on this hotel.

its about time people were asking questions about puerto - definately the better part of tenerife - much greener but slightly cooler than the barren south but it can have hot weather when it is pouring down with rain in the south.
people always say it is cloudy - the best way to get a tan though, the rays still come through the cloud but dont burn you as much

Wow that is a lovely hotel, is this the one owned by Loro Parque??

I am staying at the Hotel Botanico in mid November and I wonder if anyone has any information that would be helpful on this hotel. I have tried the hotel website but it is not full of info. Also I would be grateful for any suggestions of nice places to eat at night. We like all types of food and would like to eat somewhere different each night.

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law plus 3 year old went to the Botanico in May. They said it's a lovely hotel, but really aimed at older couples and they didn't find much to do for the youngster. The big plus is Loro Parque is very close.
