I'm trying to decide whether to book to go to this new hotel in Sept 2005 for 2 weeks. I'm hoping that in the first 6 months they will have sorted any problems out!
Thomsons currently have a good deal to this hotel but it's only due to open this month.
Has anyone seen this hotel while out in Turkey? Or stayed at another in the chain?
Although the hotel exists on the hotel review pages there are currently no reviews.
Any comments/advice greatly received!
Any one stayed at this hotel?? any information would be welcome, we are going at Easter for 2 weeks. Thanks!!
Hi northen & violet.... i think we have stayed in one of their hotels in side it was the club hotel hemmera and if your hotel is as good as the hemmera then you will have a great holiday....check out the reviews in the hotel review section.....best wishes Gavin
hi, we've stayed at the arum hotel in side twice and are going back again this august, if the lara is as good ( and the pics look fab ) you will have a great time, these hotels are very well run, although a bit impersonal. there is a web site
hi anybody been to the barut lara resort spa in antalya turkey, do you know if you have to wear long trousers or can you wear smart dress shorts in the restaurant for evening dinner, also are the motorised water sports part of the all-inclusive package or do you have to pay hope to hear from some one soon thanks dido
Hi Please has anyone been to this hotel and if so could you please give me any information on what percentage of English people are in the hotel, we are going next August, we booked this hoterl due to the vast amenities for a AI hotel, so i hope we will not have to spend any money when we get their with two teenagers (18 and 14), we looked at going to Lykia World, but i think with a 18year old he would just go mad with the card system they use to pay for things,(drinks and water sports).
Hi All, has anyone either stayed at this hotel or going to this year has i have booked to go next August for me my husband a 17year old and a 14year due to the fantsatic reviews and what you get for your AI.
We stayed at Easter and the number of English was low but we had a fantastic time In August I would say there will be more brits. Your kids will love it, there is a good night club / disco which our 13 year old came with us to, they have waiter service there and all the bars which is great. The cinema is good and they show a film in English once a day and any football matches. It holds about 60 people but is like a proper cinema. The slides are brill and the indoor pool. We spent very little cos everything is included, even ice cream for about six hours during the day! Its walls and beautiful, lots of flavours the sour cherry was yummy!! The fridge is filled with 2 beers 2diet coke two regular and some other fizzy drinks, plus large bottles of water. We left a tip and a note in the fridge requesting just diet coke and we got that each day. plus beer of course!
The al a carte restaurants are great and you can go as many times as you can get a slot in them. We went six times in two weeks but the buffet is excellent and unusual for turkey we had strawbeeries and whipped cream most evenings and the desserts are lovely.
You will need to diet on return. The drinks are good and the pool bar at the hotel is very nice and if you are sitting at the bar area you get your drink in a glass which is a bonus, we would give the hotel a 10 out of 10 for everything and we have stayed in many all-inclusives and this takes some beating. Contact the hotel before you go and request rooms with a nice view over the pools, if you are lucky they are really good and catch the late evening sun
The rooms are much nicer than the pictures in the brochures and you will be impressed with the bathroom set up and space in the room. You get a white bathrobe to use and slippers.
You can hire dvd's from the hotel shop cost £2 and some films are not out in the uk yet. We spent money on a couple of films but took some dvd's with us.
Hope this helps i could go on and on about the wonderful things about the hotel. ENJOY!!
H i Violet123, Thanks for the info, with a 17year old and a 14year the vast AI will save us alot of money, like you this will be our 10th AI, we had a great deal at lunnpoly £3275 for the four of us two rooms and a day flight from east midlands, we shall need the rest as we are planning to move home in the next twelve months. i will phone the hotel to request a intetconnecting room if possable i have already booked a pool view with a sunny balcony, anyway thanks for the info and we will be looking forward to enjoying it.
First time on All inclusive so not quite sure what that will be like, although reading comments on here it sounds great
If anyone has been could you tell me if pool and beach towels are supplied or should we take our own?
Also looking to try scuba diving, is there any available locally, and what does it cost.
Thanks in advance, Chris
Hi Cjs, We are going at the end of August, but i have booked with Thomas Cook and saved us 500pounds, the only thing that we are worried about is the liack of English people that will be their, but i think this hotel is very good value for money having two teenagers who will want to go on the water sports and a son who will be nearly 18 and will want to go in the night club, me and my husband are looking forward to eating in all the differant restarants, we went to Turkey last year and loved the Turkish food, you will have to give me your opinion as you go before we go, lets hope we are not the only English their as we will be changing hotels.
We were at the Arum three years ago, that was a superb hotel. They were building the Lara resort then and had a model in the Arum lobby, it looked fantastic even as a model!
There were more germans at the Arum, probably outnumbered brits by about 3 to 1 but not really a problem except that most of the entertainment of an evening was in german. I expect it will be the same at the Lara resort.
We return on the 12th August 07 so will be able to give you an upto date report.
anyone know if there is a games room at the barut lara resort?
reading the reviews everyone seems to have night flights.
booking through the hotel is more expensive.
