Holiday in October

This may be a long shot but hope someone can help

.We want to go away half term in Oct (around 20th) we only want a short flight (nana coming and won't fly any longer than 2ish hours

.Where can we go and still get decent weather?Will also have two 15 yr old girls with us so anyone know of any apartments with things going on for them.

You're a bit limited destination wise with only a 2hr flight. What about the Spanish costa's, the belerics or the Algarve? Its a little late in the season but you can still get nice weather and the flights are around 2 - 2.5hrs depending where you are flying from?

We went to Majorca once in half term week and the weather was lovely. came back with a really good tan. You haven't got much choice really with a 2 hour flight either Spain or Portugal.

We have been to Majorca twice during the October half term.

Weather was very good during the day and warm enough to swim in the pools. However,we did experience thunder storms at night and it does go a little chilly - but this did not spoil our enjoyment and wouldn't hesitate to go at that time of year again.

If you could persuade Nana to take a 4hr flight you can travel that bit further. The weather is still very good in October in Cyprus or Rhodes :sun

We went to the Costa de Almeria in October half term a few years ago and it was lovely and hot.

Glad you got your nan to go a bit further. We went to Gran Canaria in October (4 hour flight), and the weather was red hot. (34).I would definately recommend Gran Canaria, or tenerife. BBB.

Cyprus is a pretty safe bet in October. If you're thinking of the greek islands - Rhodes is normally very good in October as it has the best sunshine record of all the greek islands :sun

Pricewise Rhodes will probably work out cheaper, as October is the last month of the season there's normally plenty of offers. Cyprus will probably work out more expensive as it's a year round destination.

Have been to both Rhodes and Cyprus in October and the weather was great. If you decide upon Greece your best bet is either Rhodes or Crete.

Late October Holiday suggestions - winter sun preferred.

Has anyone any ideas where we could go for October half term, 2 adults early 50's, we usually go DIY to Paphos. Ideally somewhere warm and dry. Preerably no longer than a 4 hour flight. Thanks
