somebody must have stayed at the bahia principioe punta cana....comments please it would really help

i hope we're talking about the same place. dom rep ? i thought it was san juan ? the hotel is about 20 mins away from cabarette?

My friend is away at present staying at the Bahia Principe in Dom Rep although I am not too sure which one she is staying at.

Either way I have spoken to her on the phone and she was really impressed with the hotel and grounds, said it was beautiful.

She is back on Wednesday so will try and give you an update later in the week if it was indeed the one at Punta Cana.

Spoke to my friend last night, anything specific you would like to know then give me a shout and I will ask for you.

She was really impressed with the resort, said it was lovely, food was great etc. She did say that the resort was a little isolated but that there is so much to do on site and that it is so big that you don't really notice it that much. I asked her would she go back again and she said yes so that's always a good sign!

H and I are looking to go in Jan 07 booking with first choice. Its a bit expensive
It will be our first time to the Dominican so any info would be great

I am wondering if the Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana is a good hotel for teenagers? Is there a lot of entertainment? Is the disco in a save location? Where is the disco located?
Any comments would be helpful

What an excellent place! Stayed for 2 weeks June 2007. Very large resort combining 2 hotels, Punta Cana & Bavaro. All suite hotels with great restaurants (buffet & 6 a la cartes) serving excellent food. Service really is top notch! We stayed at Bahia Principe in Tulum Mexico & were so impressed we chose this hotel chain for the Dom Rep.
The resort is spotless with lots of entertainment. 2 seperate live shows every night, karaoke bar, disco, casino & night club until 4am (if thats what you want). Rooms are very large with mini bar restocked daily with water, beer & soft drinks. Beach is really clean, sea is warm & inviting.
The resort is so large they run a mini train all day & night to transport you around which is really useful. All entertainment is in the 'Pueblo entertainment plaza' which is like a small village & is situated away from the accommadation so the rooms are very quiet. In our view this is a 5* resort! enjoy.

Can anyone help me with a description of the rooms...is a little vague on FC website...says Villa stle accom...with a seperate lounge area....is this the case as we will have a teenager with us....and as we will be paying adult price for them anyway...would prefer to book two rooms than all share the one room......
