I am planning a holiday for my partner and four kids (ages 9, 11, 15,17) in June flying to Reus with Ryanair, and hopefully booking a self catering apartment in central Salou. The emphasis on the holiday will be Port Adventura and Salou itself, with possibly a trip to Barcelona.
I am happy to use local transport i.e. buses and trains, but I am not sure how easy it is to get from the airport to Salou. What I don't want is to hire a car and end up only using it for the trip to and from the airport.
What do you think ?
I would be very wary of traveling into Barcelona by car if it was the first time there - Public transport is pretty good in that respect.
We found it by far the most convenient way of getting out and about to see some "proper" Spain.
Taxis seem to be the best bet from the Airport - It's only about a 15 minute journey to anywhwere in the main part of Salou itself.
