Hubby and I are looking to book a late deal later on for end of August/early September - just B&B. We only want to fly for 2-3 hours though. So we're probably looking at Algarve, Spain, Balerics etc??? We don't really want to spend much. The place we want to go to we're looking for somewhere that's pretty/scenic with a bit of culture. Not too quiet - we like to have a few bars and clubs! But don't really want something that resembles blackpool either if you see what i mean.
Any ideas folks?
We've only ever been to Greece and Turkey before so we're not really sure where's good for us.

italy seems perfect for this, nice culture, sightseeing, night life. places like venice i heard are very romantic and i know italy has some b&b's. if you need anymore info just pm me and ask! i know a lot about italy and other places round the med
How about Albena in Bulgaria? It's smaller that the main resorts, and close enough to places like Varna & Balchik to take care of the culture aspect.
Ibiza is really nice, just do not go not San Antonioa. Try Santa Eliha (Not spelt right) or Portinax, this is a lovely island just spoilt by the name of rave and clubbers.
My recommendation would be Lake Garda, wonderful scenery, delicious food, plenty to see. We did a day trip to Venice from here and also went to the opera in Verona. And the ice cream ............. mmmmmmm
