hi we booked through going places in the end. that was due to them coming up with the best price.
we went look ( i state looking ) for a hol and the sales assistant was very very pushy.
we left it for a few weeks in the mean time we had shopped around and got a good price of a local company. so we were all set to book.
just as I was leaving my house to nip to the travel agent the sales assistant rang from g.places,asking me had i decided.
i said yes and toild her it was a deal i wanted. after 3 calls back off the assisatnt she said I can do you a managers deal and got it for £50 cheaper inc insurance etc.
they are very pushy in my local one put being like that she got a sale.
but my point is dont accept the first price they give. haggle!!!!!!!!! they need your sale more than you need them.
i do hope i can follow it up with saying i ve had a wonderful hol etc....
this is not how its works!!!
why would travel agents do this
they just want to get you the best deal
the girl called you as she wanted to know if she could help you any more with you enquiry and to see if you were going to book or not
the travel agent at going places put all her effort into finding you the ideal holiday why should she let you go somewhere different when she's worked for that booking

may point is dont accept the first offer/price anyone gives you.

Booked a holiday to Turkey this year through Going Places, as it was by far the best price. I had quotes from several agents and direct booking firms.
We are a group of 21 and I feel they worked hard to juggle kids around within the booking in order to get the best price.
I would recommend them

Hi, they usually give you a ring to tell you the tickets are ready to pick up. If you book on line then they will post them.Your tickets should be ready to pick up by now, I'd give them a quick ring and ask.
We're flying out on the 28 July, and our tickets arrived this morning!

Am just wondering if anyone has booked through goingplaces website.
They give prices for airtours, panorama and manos holidays.
The things I am interested in is should something go wrong (i'm such a pessimist
) is there a good customer services telephone link to sort out queries etc. Did you get a swift confirmation by post, ie under 7 days and was it accurate. Did all your tickets etc arrive in good time?
Other querey is did you think the price was better than booking in one of their high street travel agents?
