Hi Sandy :wave

Depends very much on what you're looking for.

We stayed at the Green Oasis Nautilus hotel, San Antonio Bay last August.

A great hotel and location. See my review, also see under the All-Inclusive Forum - good all-inclusives.

Hope this helps.

You would have to look a long way to beat the Cala Nova Fiesta at Es Cana! Mind you the price reflects the quality.

i think puerto san miguel is great!its really nice at the club san miguel, and you can always get the mini train out to other resorts like portinax!

Hiya, not sure if i can be of any help but i could maybe give you a few options!

I was a holiday rep who worked in Ibiza last summer 2004!

I worked in Portinatx, Santa Eulalia and Es Cana! I will suggest a few places below that might be of interest!

Portinatx - Based in the north of the island it is about 40 mins from airport! Very scenic and beautiful although it is a very small resort, however within the resort you have three beaches to choose from, or 4 if you would like to take a long 1 hr stroll to cala sara! The best hotel baring in mind you have an 8yr old would be the hotel Presidente (4T RATING - Thomson Holidays Superfamily) Full entertainment through every part of the day. Kids Club, Thomson Entertainers - one of which this summer is Krazy Kate! She is superb with children! Rep shows, tributes, comedians. Of a day you have supersplash in a large pool catering for everyone, bingo, mega day, water polo, water volleyball!!! as you can see a fun packed holiday but can also be relaxing with the views!!! One good aspect if you get the chance to be alone while the littlen is in kids club is the jacuzzi, situated overlooking the whole bay. Perfect for sunset watching too as its based in a little cove! Wide selection of excursions with Thomson and also other little glass bottom boats and pedlos etc!! Outside of hotel you have a couple of supermarkets and souvenir shops and also a couple of bars and restaurants!!! Overall superb!!!!

Santa Eulalia - This is the second largest town on the island, full of shops and restaurants, but to be honest it depends on what you want out of the holiday overall! I didnt find this resort very appealing, myself 23 with a younger sister and brother would not find this resort to be the ideal spot for an 8 year old unless they just enjoyed views and shopping!!!!

Es Cana - Nice area, just a 5 min bus ride away from santa eulalia! ferry runs from there to ibiza town and also the neighbouring island formentera! 2 beaches, however one could be a put off to you as it has an undercurrent which can prove very dangerous if in the wrong place at the wrong time!!! Maybe a no go area!!!!

Playa den Bossa - I think this resort is for everyone and anyone! Only 10 mins away from airport and a 10 min ride into Ibiza town! This is the home of the waterpark, the biggest beach on the island as it goes for miles and also shops, pubs, english bars, activity park, with bungees and other attractions!!! Ibiza town is an eye opener, a busy town especially at night with the colourful characters which line the streets and not forgetting the old town which is the highest point of ibiza and you can go up of an evening and look right across ibiza!! A good hotel catering for not only english but german aswell is the Al garb!!!

Overall, my personal opinion would be the Hotel Presidente in Portinatx, if you like to explore there are local buses which leave the resort, but with full time entertainment at the hotel you wont want to leave!!!!

Hope i have been of some help!!!!

hiya

if you are looking for a family friendly place to stay, the Sal Rossa is a place a recomend. It is full of intertainment and is right on the beach of Playa den Bossa and this is beautiful beach with golden sand and great for water sports, the waters are blue and shallow, and there are many restaurants and bars along the coast.

When i went there for the first time i couldn't stop myself from visiting again. I went every two years and i haven't stopped since, i am going again this year in July to my favourite hotel, the Sal Rossa!

happy holidays, Remee
