I cant remember where I heard it but there was talk of a water plane service being set up between the Greek Islands. Im sure this would anger the ferry operators, but was wondering if it was still going ahead,
planning a tour of various islands next summer and want to start to plan it as soon as possible
There is supposedly a Seaplane service within the Ionion islands starting up, the routes are different to the ferry services which are mostly to the mainland.

You can island hop within the Ionion islands easy enough by ferry if you have plenty of time, the only difficult bit is Lefkada to Paxos/Corfu requiring travel in the mainland.

Airsea Lines have a proposed summer schedule on their website, but afaia it's not up and running as yet. The last I heard, they were having trouble getting landing rights in Paxos because the wash from the seaplanes was causing damage to boats moored in the harbour.
