also with it being full board what are the prices of the drinks like?

Have just booked to go to Fihalhohi for May 06. Found Fihalhohi.net very informative it even has price lists (though 2004) for drinks, sport and spa. Also check out Fihalhohi.info. I'm not quite sure how much a/c as we've booked comfort room with a/c included but I think I read somewhere its $10 per night but don't quote me on that.

After lots of research we have finally booked the Fihalhohi resort, going in mid-June 06. It looks amazing but it would be great to hear from anyone who has visited the island, even better if it was at that time of year...

In a Classic room air conditioning is $10 per night, but it comes as standard in the Comfort rooms and Water Bungalows.

Drink prices are listed on the resort website, although they are 2004 so may have gone up since then, but it looks to be about $3 for a spirit (not sure if includes mixers), $3 for a bottle of water, $6 for a cocktail etc.

Been to this island twice sept05 and march06 Had a fab time both times. Dive centre great as are staff - housereef is literally steps into the ocean saw everything from sharks, octopus, sting/eagle ray giant moral, clown triggers etc etc... This island is not plush but what do you expect for the price - i would describe it as rustic, very friendly and chilled. If you have any specific questions mail me at jshelb2004@yahoo.com. The prices from the 2004 list are still about right give or take a few cent. We splashed out whilst there with ISS Open water course x1, Massage treatements x3 , intro. dive for beginners x1, 3 further dives x2, sunset meal x2, lunch and several drinks each day, 3 trips x2, hire all dive gear & camera, and way too many milkshakes (made with ice cream!). In total we spent around £1200 over the two weeks which when you think about it makes it a very reasonable holiday. I know thought that many other people spent a lot less than us as they didnt dive / do trips/ and took their own travel kettle!
