Have only been to Kefalonia on day visits. It is a beautiful island. Re mozzies- take garlic tablets for a month before you go( and during your holiday). You WILL see a difference- honestly!
The sea is fairly warm in June once you get in. But not as warm as in September when there has been 3 months sun on it.
I believe your appartments are at the top end of Lassi, if so then in my opinion the best taverna nearest you is Monte Nero. Excellent food with very relaxing seating and atmosphere.
If you like Butlins then you are not far from Oskars.
As for mozzies, we have been for several years in June and the bites have been more some years than others. I think the best was last year only collected 2.
We fly out on the 5th June for 2 weeks.
