Hi Wayne ... you have posted in the correct forum, but for the moment I am going to move your enquiry to our Ex Pats & Owners Abroad forum, to see if perhaps anyone living in those areas might have some recommendations.

Where was this posted originally? Santander and Malaga are a long way apart. I'm sure i could find kennels in one or the other but would have no idea how good they are. I would imagine that Malaga would have more chance of english speaking staff though. Many smaller Spanish hotels will accept dogs by the way.

Hi RiazorBlue ... this topic was original posted in General Holiday Enquiries and then moved here in the hope of a better response.

I am guessing that Wayne is perhaps motoring down through Santander and Malaga and staying in both places.

Hi there all,

I am thinking of going to Malaga or Santander, hate flying, and as there is a new ship going to Santander with very good kennels on board I am now thinking about this, as I love northen Spain, beleve it or not just had a fresh Spaniish omlet from Gran Canery, mother and father bought it two hour before they flew home, wow it was nice, my mother is now trying to perfect the art.

some people say if you don't get a good kennel you might not see your dog angain, this is very worrying, as my dog means the world to me.

I am now thinking of maybe renting a villa in santander, anybody know of any, I will do a search after I write this.

Thx for the link madsue, you really mad ??? hehehe only joking, yes I did find this kennel and it seems top class, it's a bit outside Malaga, however I can easyly hire a car.

Thank you Wayne

I am sure you love your dog and you have my full respect for that but I must ask are you going to live here in Spain or just coming for a holiday.

If you are coming on holiday I would take it that you have got the dog chipped and its passport etc, also when you return to the UK you need to have a certificate from a vet to say that your dog has had it injection in Spain 24 hours brfore it enters the UK.

Hi there,

Yep I have al the dog passport.

Hi watsonju, the English lady in Frigiliana, has she a web site.

Hi brodev, Has Stefanes kennels in Estepona a web site.

I am now thinking of maybe renting a villa in Santander or Malaga anybody know of any please, as someone told me to only use kennelling facilities are provided by Veterinary Clinics and are strictly controlled by the Spanish Government, otherwise I might lose my dog, this has put me off a bit, but then again would my dog be safe in the villa I rent.

Thank you Wayne

Wayne, Malaga and Sotogrande are about 75 miles apart. I think you should narrow yor search area. Stefanies does not have a web site but they do have a phone number. you can find it and others here:- http://www.surinenglish.com/buscar.php
