I have a holiday booked here for 2 weeks in August--myself ,husband and 15 year old son. Have to pay or cancel very soon--I'm a bit concerned whether our son will enjoy it....he's at that funny age and this will be first time away without older siblings. We have visited rhodes before and loved it but wonder whether we'd be better off in majorca where we know there'll be loads of kids of his age.
This may seem a stupid qury but as anyone who has holidayed with a teenager who really doesn't want to be there knows, it can be a complete flop.
Any info on this hotel and surrounding area will be appreciated.ie. size of rooms, how formal or otherwise is the hotel, is the food ok etc.
I know faliraki is near enough to visit comfortably but far enough not to be a problem. Getting really worried now.
There is a very nice bay at Kalithea. Popular with Scuba boats (mainly because it's the only place on Rhodes where diving is permitted). Good for swimming, snorkelling, but no watersports - would be dangerous. Main beach is a little further along.
You'll be close to Faliraki, not too far for Rhodes town either.
Whether the son will enjoy it depends on his interests - but in general I'd say this is a good holiday spot.
