Hi, whilst chatting on the forum i was given some excellant advice by another member. I was worried about the heat and my little one, and i was told to take diarolite on holiday with me to give as a drink to combat dehydration, as kids tend to go down hill quite quickly. So i have contacted the NHS help line and a nurse confirmed that it is perfectly safe to give throughout the day as a bodily fluids top up, just mix up a sachet in a morning and take round the pool/beach to sip at instead of drinking coke and other sugary drinks, and as they come in different fruit flavours the kids needn't know it's good for them! if anyone is unsure of this advice or is worried about any other health issues whilst on holiday then the NHS helpline is fantastic and they are happy to post out any further information you require.
Thanx again to the member who gave me this info it truly is invaluable. x
Happy hols!!
Helen
We've always taken it away with us in the kids first aid box - always think if they ever suffered from holiday tummy it would help get them right.
But they are also helpful if no bad tummy... its bucks up you & kids by rehydrating you, kids feel tired & hot, give them one... they are great!
And did you know that flat lemonade rehydrates you quicker than when it's fizzy!!! (strange - but true!)
Yup TAH-M....was what my mum gave us as kids.... still not as good as those sachets tho...
Flat Coke Cola is good too(not diet)it really hydrates and also settles stomachs.
