ps yea have checked the website already.
All the pubs and clubs are open it is really busy though it would be quite with it being June but you will be surprised.
The main club BCM is open and only cost us 7 euros to get in and that was free drinks all night including spirits. Think it is open from 9.00 ish but it doesn't get busy until 12.00 - 1.00am ish & it is open until about 8.00am. We found as the week went on the price to get into the club went up, must be as it was getting into the peak of the season. Shows on in the club are mainly for the lads.
Sorry I have never heard of that hotel you are staying at but it seems where every you are in Magaluf you are close to all the pubs and beaches etc.
Have a good time; let me know how you get on.
When is it you are going?
Jackie
We stayed at the sol antillas hotel and we had a lovely sea view, i would definately recommend this hotel. The only thing i didnt like about it was the fact that you are not allowed to use lilo's in the pool!
The food was nice too although i imagine it could get a bit boring- we were only there for 3 nights and i think i ended up eating the same thing each night! I wouldn't let this put anyone off though cause im not a big fan of hotel food anyway. I did find it strange that they served brussel sprouts with breakfast though...!
We made a lot of friends over the weekend- lot's of stag/hen parties and the atmosphere was just great!
This is my third time in magaluf and definatelty the best! Anyone thinking of going here for a girly/lads weekend- go for it!
anyone know if sea view means it must be the antillas that you get rather than the barbados? And has anyone had an unrefurbished sea view room?
the sea view room we had was on the second floor- room 215, and our room had not been redecorated despite the fact that i had asked for a high floor.
it was ok though- the carpet was a bit worn but that was the only thing really. to be honest the only time we used the room was to sleep and to get ready to go out at night!
still, if i were you i would ask for a high floor!
yup..did ask for a high floor but sounds like its pot luck anway...
Having said that, I didn't see what the refurbished rooms looked like, but ours was perfectly adequate. Immaculately clean, just a little tired looking. We weren't disappointed whatsoever.
Incidentally, we found the Barbados to be the more family friendly of the two hotels, and just used the Antilles to sleep in!
makes you wonder who actually gets the top floors.....
Am looking to book either this hotel or Sol Gaudalope. Is the Barbados suitable for a 10 year old and her mum? I stayed at Jamaica sol last year and the kids club was great but the hotel was a bit shabby and no air con or tv in t he room. I have read the reviews on this sol hotel but wonder if anyone has an update on th erefurb.
thanks
All the previous posts seem to state the Antillas has high floors that have been refurbed. Does anyone know about the barbados? I have book 2 weeks to the Barbados/Antillas so not sure which one i will end up in. Bit worried the whole barbados is a bit tired. is their any way to gaurantee staying in the Antillas?
Thanks
Paul
i think you have to book private to get the better rooms....the package guys seem to get the barbados...
I booked direct will sol hotels last year. I stayed in the Sol Antillas which is better for adults, it seems a little quieter than the Barbados. A couple of weeks before I went I emailed the Antillas direct and told how much I was looking forward to going to the hotel. My husband had stayed at the hotel the previous year so I knew it was nice. I did tell them he liked the hotel and said that I would prefer the antillas because it sounded fantastic, I also told them that I would love a seaview. When I got there a porter helped me with my luggage, unlocked my room for me, and opened my balcony doors to show me my fantastic seaview. I was on the top floor, so I had nobody above clonking about. I think it pays to send a friendly email before you go, it did help me.

yes i always do that....last year they even gave me the key for 3 rooms to see which i preferred before checking in....
