I am trying to decide between the 3 camps below. They all look great on the internet, but vary in price. Is the price difference worth it? What do you get for your money? They are all advertised as 5*
The quotes for a 2 night fly safari from Monbassa are as follows:
Mara Safari Club - 385 pounds
Governors - 495 pounds
Little Governors - 537 pounds
Any advice gratefully received!
I would recommend Govenors camp. Although you will be in a tent (but a luxury one), it is of high standard and very well placed for game viewing - ie you don't have to drive for miles to see a lot. I understand that this is where the crew for Big Cat Diary stay during filming.
Masai Mara is the best game park by far and is sure to leave you with some lasting memories - it is just breathtaking.
If you have time, it is well worth visiting Mt. Kenya Safari Club - expensive, but very very nice.
Although I live in Kenya for much of the year, I don't really know Mombasa, so can't comment on the hotel.
All the best
Rupert
