I am referring to excursions and not the packaged holiday its self ! in which most cases stripey is right it should cover you .

No not definitely covered. As has been said, check the excursions part. Someone was injured just recently on a quad bike and they were NOT covered.

The insurance company said that unless notified beforehand there are things which are not covered. How you are supposed to know what you intend doing on holiday is beyond me.

If in doubt ask your travel/booking agent. Don't take a chance!

easiest thing is not to book your insurance via the tour op. Not only will you save money you will get better insurance elsewhere.

we told our rep what prices we had found, and then we haggled over the price and got it through the tour operator. so no ringing to get your insurance switched on for your hols, its already done for you. choc.
