Market day in Turgutries is every Saturday Monarch -
Thanks aasgmhill, I have already requested a non bar side, just before i read your post reply. Hope we get it afer all the messing about we had with Bulgaria! have read reviews fron different sights and they all pretty much say the same, noisy on one side but other wise good, so August 13th hurry up and get here!
The hotel is very good, in a good location in the centre adjacent to the beach. All the bars and restaurants are very near (across the road). I think you will enjoy your stay.
Have stayed there twice, you will have a lovely time.
If you go on the five island boat trip from Turgutries , one of the places you visit will be Rabbit Island, this is about fifty meters and a paddle from Gumusluk, one of the nicest places I have ever been to.
A much happier chilled out Traceyx
Can anyone please tell me if the Escape Bar is still open in Turgutreis. It was on the beach near the Mandacini. The people that run it was Thomas and Mehmet and not forgetting Shaggy the Dog.
If i remember correct i think it might have reverted back to being a restruant when we were over there near end of season.
Has anyone been to this resort? what sort of trips are on offer, can you get a boat trip tp kos from here?
Gumusluk is a lovely place to visit just get dolmus from Turgutreis, not far to go.
Turgutreis has a nice beach ,good bars and restaurants, satarday market biggest on penninsula.

Hi anyone that goes to Turgutreis might want to check out this site
I loved Turgetreis. Absolutely stunning sunsets!! Nice bars and great restaurants. Met some of the friendliest people in the world,in the locals. Children stood and offered us a seat if the dolmus was crowded, restaurant owner took us out on his lovely boat for the day, young guys who were fishermen took my husband out fishing..he brought back a flying fish..a dead one of course (as I'd never seen one before)...just the loveliest people in a really nice place. Good beach and remember buying lots of handbags at the market! The only thing that very slightly put me off the market was the stall holder guys tying ankle bracelets round your ankles unexpectedly
yes we have 6 of us last july/august, plenty of bars and shops and a big market on sat ,we stayed at the aegean dream resort so had r own beach ,but we were surprised how turgetreis had every thing
Has anyone visited Turgutreis this year . Any information gratefully recieved eg prices bars etc. plus has anyone used a taxi from the airport.
The only bad experience was when we booked a boat trip and they tried to cram way too many people on the boat. We got our money back and got off.
