Plenty of bars with good entertainment such as quizes, live entertainment and karaoke. All along the bay road. If you like good music look for Chris and Mick at Jolly Jacks half way down the bay road opposite the little lane down to the sea and The Pint Pot. They make a great sound and play things such as Dire Straights including Chris's superb guitar solos and do requests.
A few of the bars are disco type bars where the parents can relax on the terrace while the younger set can strut their stuff inside but usually still in sight. Such as Johnnys Bar, Mar Y Pins and The Millenium. The Casablanca at the far end of the bay road near the roundabout seemed to have plenty on each night in a large open fronted room that seemed to cater for familes.
Just a tip though. They all seem to close their doors at Midnight. Not that they are shut but the noise must be kept off the street after this time (or as best they can)
Make sure you enjoy a siesta in the afternoon. Last Friday the temperature was indicated as 35 degrees in Ibiza Town when we walked in and it seemed to get hotter and hotter. After a walk up through the old Town and along the walls we really knew we should have saved it for a better time of day. However we still stopped out in the bars on the San An Bay Road til around 4 am. They go on til about 6 at some of them but without a siesta it's hard to last the pace.
Hope you and the family enjoy it and I'm sure she will have plenty to choose from but I am just glad my daughter was 21 and went with her boyfriend. Too much "pop" and some of the young lads can be a bit too cocky for my liking but I'm sure you'll keep an eye on things. Good Luck and Happy Hols. 8)

you'll find plenty of cheesy tacky pubs and bars in the bay, full of kareoke and club singer wannabees...to be honest it feels lilke any resort in any med location

The best thing i can suggest is jump on the boat over to san antonio town and open your mind a little, it is not as bad as you might expect and will certianly be more interesting than the bay. the centre of the town is busy and you will find its like any city town centre on a friday night except warmer but its not all 18-30 as there are a number of adult orientated bars. the real nightlife doesnt get going until way after 12 anyway.

You might have heard people talk about the sun set strip area of san antonio, this is a group of bars just north of the town which loads of people of all ages gather to watch the sun set whilst chilling in cosmopolitan style bars and watching fire eaters on the beach...in my opinion this is the best part of the whole resort and is a tad different from the blackpool..esque nature of the bay

Although I agree with Lukey that the sunset strip is well worth a visit... I have to say avoid the West End strip of bars like a you would avoid holidaying near a sewerage plant! I know many residents of the island and every one I know finds that very small part of the island an embarrassment that has caused untold damage to the tourist industry on Ibiza. It really is that bad unfortunately, its like an British town centre on a Saturday night at about 11pm but early evening onward and 10 times worst. Not a place for families or anybody who knows what the rest of Ibiza is really like.

The bay area is a different story however, very friendly British atmosphere while still been lively and young. If you want to experience the night life of Ibiza, with its fantasic clubs then you could do no better than checking out Ibiza Town one night, the best night is often Mondays around midnight as thats when the Manumission parades start (during high summer).

I hope you enjoy your holiday.

I suppose if we all liked/disliked the same thing life would be boring...but after 10 years of going to san antonio maybes I am immune to the supposed harshness of the west end although in all my visits i have never seen any of the scenes that you see on ibiza uncovered.!! maybes i dont stay out late enough!.

I agree ibiza town is the best mix of everything and is a far cry from the tackyness of the bay...I am sure you will have fun no matter what you decide to do
