Can you give me an example of say the costs of a large beer, bottle of wine, a small pizza, meal etc.
We've just been to Bulgaria for 3 years and it is very cheap and want to visit Malta next year and need to work out spending budgets.
Many thanks
large beer - 80c-LM1.50
bottle of wine - LM3-5 for OK wine
a small pizza - LM1.50-2.50
meal - LM 2-10 pp covers most standards
So could be quite expensive then if a beer was 1.5 equivalent to £2.33.
thats right, but 80c to LM1 is normal price for a large beer in a bar (ie 1/2 a litre) - LM1.50 would be in a nightclub - the most I've ever paid is LM1. Also, normally beer is sold in 1/4 litre bottles (for 40c-50c) - in a supermarket, beer is 20c-30c, while wine in a supermarket is LM1-2 for most local wines of reasonable quality
Thank you for that. We are looking at staying at the BHC self catering and just need to plan budgets.
anything else, just ask, eg if you want to know prices for other things from the supermarket like groceries, just post a list
Is there anything in particular you would like me to find out about the Bugibba Holiday Complex?
My sister and her kids will be staying there Self Catering next month when they come over here to visit us, so I will have chance to have a good nose around
Thank you. I would just really like to know what the rooms are like, is it in a noisy area at night and how far frmo the main resort centre. Many thanks
The Bugibba Holiday Complex is located approximately 350 meters from the main square of Bugibba and in a generally quiet area of the resort. I can e-mail you a picture of the room sooze if you like, just contact me directly....Ingliza if you let me have the details of your relatives coming over I will do my best to organise an upgrade for them if you like
We will be visiting next May, is that a good time weatherwise. We don't want it to be chilly at all.
*Edit - email removed for members protection. Please use PM facility for initial contact - Glynis*
May is normally nice - av max temp of 24-25C, but the sea will be cold (by Maltese standards) - will be around 20C, versus 27C now - rainfall is very low in May - this year 2mm, and there should be plenty of sunshine - it will be fairly quiet
BugibbaHC,
thanks for your kind offer, I was in contact with my sister yesterday as her office is opposite a West London tube station thanks just the same but she doesn't need a room upgrade, a standard room has always been OK on the six occasions I have had relatives there, so I'm sure it will be this time. I have sent you a PM with her booking details because if it is not too much to ask, could you give her a poolview room so she can keep an eye on her youngest daughter, but I appreciate mid-August (Santa Maria time) is busy. Thanks.

No problem ingliza but I have checked my mail box and do not seem to have any PM from you....you can e-mail drict of you like at tzahra@islandhotels.com
Sorry about that, I thought I had sent it OK I will sent you an e-mail. Thanks
My sister has infact been allocated a very nice spacious apartment with views of both the swimming pools. As I have previously mentioned, this is the 7th visit by a member of my family to your complex, the last was a few years back, however I am happy to report BHC is still a good value, well run aparthotel.
Special praise to the two girls on duty at reception yesterday. Despite a long and very busy shift involving an exceptionally high number of arrivals, they both remained very polite and helpful all day.
Glad to see the pizzas are as good as ever.
Anytime Ingliza, glad I could be of help.
