just wondering if any one can recommend a good hotel or apartments with air condition (reasonably priced) ,and which part of Greece is the best part to go to for a family holiday.we like something which has a good night life, and plenty going on.
thank you for any help you can give .
hellooooooooooooooooo from the northeast.
Check out Orion Apartments, Faliraki, Rhodes, through Kosmar. No aircon but you can hire fans. Situated at end of Bar Street on outskirts Faliraki & has its own Restaurant which is best in Faliraki, produce your room key for free carafe of wine with meal. Plenty in town to keep family happy. Hopefully, more people will come in with ideas to help you with your quest.
thank you for that info Cruisecontroller.but it is a must to have air condition.
Missiria Studios/Apartments, Rethymnon, Crete through Kosmar. Yes, it has air conditioning & looks reasonably priced. Not too far from busy Rethymnon. The people of Crete LOVE British people, this stems back to World War 2. It is something when you go to get a pint of milk of a morning and have a glass of Raki(firewater) presented to you as you pay and the person stands and watches you drink it !!!! Take the kids with you as they will be given sweets.
Marios Studios/Apartments, Laganas, Zante/Zakynthos, Kosmar. Air conditioning. 5 mins from centre & 6 mins to Beach. Zante folk are friendly, we stayed on this island in May but we go in for the quieter life. Couldn't help but fall in love with the place. Good luck in your quest.
You`re right about the Greeks loving the British. When we were having an evening stroll along the beach at Alikes, Zakynthos, we saw a little old man smoking a pipe, looked about 90 if he was a day. He smiled at us, we smiled back and said "kalispera", and as we were walking past him, he grabbed hold of me and gave me a big smacking kiss!!
hotel oceanis is my bet, i have just booked there and it has got air con and is a reasonable price and looks gorge!
We were in Alykanas in May & stayed at Grapevines. I've posted a comprehensive write up in Hotel & Resort Forums, if you don't know of these apartments you may like to make a note for future reference. You would probably enjoy the place as much as we did.
Try the Aegean Sun Apartments, Kos Town, Kos. Not far from the nightlife and entertainment suitable for all ages at affordable prices. People friendly. Apartments basic, but not all had air conditioning! If you have kids the pool may not be too suitable, was very deep!!!
we are going on sept 29th for 2 weeks , 2 adults 3 kids for just over £1000
reviews are excellent and laganas is just up the road if kalamaki is to quiet on an evening for you
thank you every one for your help will be having a look at the hotels mentioned.once again many thanx.
