Can't say about the camping - perhaps you might try the Camping and Caravanning thread, but the weather is usually warm 25-30° C but with the risk of sudden and violent storms, especially at night. French TV carries regular weather forecasts, and good campsites usually display such information from the local paper if not from other sources.

We were there mid August last year and it was bl**dy hot! Mid 30s most days then every 3rd night or so the mother of all thunderstorms to clear the air.

Hi, the latest we have been to Languedoc was 5-20th September. We found that the weather was better to the Norther coast of Languedoc around Montpellier & Narbonne (we stayed in Vias Plage). Most days were late 20's to mid 30's and brilliant sunshine even at the end of the holiday. We have also been to Argeles-sur-Mer which is to the South of Langedoc not far from the Spoanish border. It was a little cooler then, but only by a degree or 2, and more prone to rain, but a 30 miniute trip over the Pyranees will bring you to glorious sunshine of the Costa Brava! The Tremonte winds can be quite strong in Sept also, but that's worse closer to the Spanish border. All in all, hot and lovely 99% of the time though :):):)
