Barbados would be great!

A Caribbean island is always a good starting point, lots to choose from! St Lucia is a very scenic island, Barbados is very nice as well. All depends on your budget, what you want to do when you are their (beach, sports etc) and how far you want to travel. August is in the hurricane season, but its pot luck what the weather will be like. You might get 2 weeks of glorious sunshine, then again you might get 2 weeks of wind and rain! Alternative include Seychelles/Mauritius if your budget can stretch that far or the Maldives?

Bali is an option in August. There are some all-inclusives there, although its a part of the world where eating out is so cheap that you can consider B&B or Room Only
