We went to Kefalonia last year (couple on late 30's) for 2 weeks and spent just over £1000.
We were self catering so that included all food and drinks, plus 3 days hire car, 1 day boat hire, 1 day scuba diving, 2 ferry trips & entrance into caves, etc.

Thanks a mill puddleduck, we are the same, self catering, but we won't be hiring a car. We do hope to take a boat trip to Kefalonia, and hope to see some of the other resorts on Zakynthos. I'd say £1000 works out at around 1400 euro, which wouldn't be bad at all, seeing as we spent nearly 2,300 euro in Portugal last year

We usually take £1200 for two weeks, that includes self catering, Breakfasts on the balcony then eat out evenings with a nice bottle of wine

Recently back from Skiathos. We're both in our mid 20s, and for 2 weeks spent £800 - which included 2 scuba dives, all meals and drinks, buses and a boat trip. We found it cheaper than Kefalonia last year.

We are off to Skiathos in about a month or so.We intend going to Athens for a couple of days , Meteora for one night , and probably hiring a car for three days.We are going for three weeks so I am reckoning on about £1500 based on normal Greek holidays,and eating out all the time.
Mind you a lot depends on how many handbags and shoes "her indoors" buys.
