I am planning a 3 week holiday to Bali in November. Have read all the previous posts about the different resorts and hotels which were really useful. Fancy starting off at the Puri Santrian in Sanur for maybe 7 nights, then Ubud for maybe 4 nights but not sure after that. Could head to Lombok and/or the Gili islands, or stay in Bali.
Has anyone been to Lombok and would you recommend it? Does anyone know if it is realistic to travel to the island of Komodo from there within this time frame. And can recommend an operator to use who may be able to tailor such a trip or would it be easier to DIY? Qantas seem to have very cheap deals for flights plus 7 nights at Puri Santrian but don't know whether we could book this with them without booking hotels for the second two weeks with them as well.
Just open to suggestions really as we do have 3 weeks and want plenty of relaxation but don't want to get bored if we stay in the same place for too long. May also consider a couple of nights stopover in Singapore.
Any experience / comments would be greatly appreciated.
We are away with them next week to Singapore and Bali. You only have to book 5 days of accomodation with them. We booked the Puri Santrian with them and one of the hotels in Singapore. The second hotel we booked on our own.
We dcided to stay in Singapore both on way out and way in. I didn't fancy going directly to Bali- too long. We had 4 days in Singapore last year and loved it.
Thanks Fiona, that's really helpful. Will order the Qantas brochures and contact them for a quote I think. Have a great holiday!
we have been to bali for the last 4 years going back in august we always stay in sanur at first we would stop of in kl for 4 days but now just want to get to bali would never get bored with such a wonderful place the people are just fantastic we always say when we book our holiday that we are going home i am sure you will fall in love with it like we did. isle of smiles
