Its my sons 10th birthday and we want to go to the water park for the day for his birthday treat,as if 2 week in Ibiza isnt enough of a treat!
The only trip Thomsons do from our hotel (Rosamar) is the 'Slide and Seek' day where half the day you go to the Hippy Market and the rest is to the Waterpark.
Shopping on hol is not for me so this trip would be pointless and no joy for a 10th birthday treat (+these trips have usually taken place on a Wed and his birthday is a Thurs!!)
Could anybody tell me what the water park is like?
Can we get round it all in a day/few hours?
Is there a good bus route from San An Bay?
Most of all HOW MUCH??
I'm sure booked trips are a rip off therefore I am more than happy to do it all myself with no ties like running out of time and racing for coach pick up points.
18 sleeps and counting!
I think you will need to get a bus from San Antonio to Ibiza Town then another to Playa Den Bossa where the water park is.Its not as daunting as it sounds I reckon you could get there in an hour from San An,Playa Den Bossa is only 5 minutes on the bus from Ibiza town.The park itself is not the biggest waterpark I've been to but its still a good day out with enough rides to keep most happy all day.I think it's about 15 euros for adults and probably a reduction for kids.
Loved every minute of it as well, cracking day out and prices not too bad at all. Think it worked out at about £10 for myself and about £8 for kids.
Will be returning there in October this year, again on his birthday, and cant wait.
Doing it through the hotel can be such a rip off, and like I have said before-they only do Slide n seek which means shopping for half the day and as i am on a budget shopping for things dont want is not on the cards!
Pity PDB isnt near but surely it will be like getting a bus to town in Bradford.

Co-incidence number 2;
we were in Ibiza last year and left on 10th.
Co-incidence number 3;
we met a family from Rhondda Valley (its Wales at least-I was born in Aberystwyth but lived in Corris,Machynlleth by the way!)
Co-incidence number 4;
their son was 10 while on hol in Ibiza last year.
Me,my sis and my 4 kids are meeting them again in 2 weeks in San Antonio Bay.
We are on a 'how many sleeps' countdown!
If you can go "public transport" then do it. Last year in Menorca, the tour reps tried to sell us a family ticket to the water park for 90 Euros, which was the coach there and back and admission. We went on the local bus at 2 Euros for all four of us and I paid 40 Euros to get in at the park. Looks like 45 Euros profit for the Reps. We did book a boat trip for ahem 240 Euros as the rep said it was only for My Travel customers, eh no it wasn't we got there and they were taking anyone for 30 Euros each x 4 120 Euros, guess that is the 100% profit again.
Ended up going bowling of all things instead!
My sons choice!
It was only 4 Euro each for 10 games (but if you were slow it would let you play till an hour had gone by!
Great cos out of all of us my son came 1st out of 10 kids and i came 1st out of 7 adults!
