I know its a long link but there are a couple of reviews about this hotel I've stayed in Arenal last year and loved it. The beach is wondeful and because the resort is near the airport, transfer costs were minimal. Arenal is a very diverse resort, lots of extroverts around, a great "people watcher" resort.

Have a look at this link. Its the newest waterpark and supposedly the best. Its poen til 31st Oct. You'll get a bus from Palma to it.

Ther's also a waterpark in Magaluf, but not sure when it shuts. You can get public transport to it too.

i just come back from america and the ones in disney and wet n wild where shit compared to arenal one!!

I know the hotel as the Olimpo, not Olimpo Bay, but as it belongs to the same owners as the Palma Bay in Arenal, they may have changed the name. If you go right to the end of Arenal on the seafront, past the marina, there is a steep hill up to your left. The Olimpo is at the top of the hill on the right just as it levels out.

The three largest waterparks are Aqualand (ex Aquacity) within walking distance of the Olimpo, Western Water Park and Aquapark, both in Magascruff. Like WWP and Aqualand - never been fussed about Aquapark - too much concrete and not enough grass!!! I've never known the water parks to close on 1 Oct and I've lived here some years. They normally close end of Oct unless weather deteriorates considerably before the end of the month.

Maybe they're just covering their backs in case the weather takes a turn for the worse, but I know that some of them do tend to stay open well into Oct. Let's keep our fingers crossed for July's weather in August !!!!!!!
