If you were willing to go half board and put up with sunbed fights, Avenida Park is pretty good for all ages. There were quite a few teenagers with younger siblings about the hotel and the entertainment waspretty good with watersports, scuba diving, as well as mini discos and games for the kids.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion - I've read quite a few reviews about the Avenida and the early morning fight for sunbeds unfortunately put me off - I know I'm probably asking too much, and because of that probably wont get anything, so I'm thinking of changing tactics totally and renting a villa and maybe my daughter can take a friend with her!! Thanks anyway.

you will be very lucky to rent a villa in salou, i have been trying to do that since Feb. there are plenty of apt. to rent but nothing on the villa front. If you are prepared to go to cambrils there are some available there. Good Luck

Hi,
You might be better off taking a friend for your daughter, that would just leave you to entertain the little one.
Have you considered any of the Hotels around Port Aventura? there a few of them Some one correct me if i am wrong but i think that you get the theme park tickets included in the holiday price if you stay at one of these Hotels. It will probably work out more expensive than a normal Hotel but your daughter (and possibly her friend) could go in to the park as much as they like.
Good luck

Thanks Loulou, I might just do that - I know it sounds a bit silly but I get REALLY annoyed with the sunbed carry on each morning - probably i am over-reacting , but thats the way I am! Thanks

I agree with you it is really annoying when people think that they have the right to "book" the sunbeds.
I dont play the game, if i want a bed around the pool and there are lots of towels and no people i simply wait for 10 mins and if there is no sign of anyone using the bed i politely fold up the towel, put it on a table and get on the bed.

HI. My family stayed in El Paso Hotel (One of the theme park ones) last October. Really close to theme park (just a few minutes walk). Not all inclusive but Half Board (however you don't really want much at lunchtime anyway). We really enjoyed the food - plenty selection for all. They don't allow people to "book" sunbeds - which is great. Also with people going up to the Theme Park at different times throughout the day we never had a problem getting a sunbed round the pool. Unlimited Theme Park entry is included in booking with this hotel. Also get a day's free entry to Water Park. There was a kids club (although we never used it so cannot comment on it). There were pool tables, table tennis etc too. Nightly entertainment on open air stage area which appealed to all. The rooms were good and the hotel nicely laid out in blocks (rather than high rise).

Thanks, I'II look in to the el Paso - another hotel which has surprised me a bit as coming up trumps with peoples reviews is the calypso in Salou - it's only a 3 star yet receives nothing but praise, not all inclusive but htats okay. I may start up a new topic for the calypso - I know I'm fickle!
