Hey guys,
im heading off to salou in september but i have no idea what the weather is going to be like??lol and has anyone ever stayed in the Salauris Palace?? i wouldnt mind some info on it because its the first time im going to salou
thanks Lee
Wrong forum I think!
I stopped at the hotel next door and from what I could see the Salauris Palace looked excellent. Its probably one of the best in Salou.
i used to live in salou 2001 so i can tell you a bit about the salauris palace although was four years ago mind
the salauris palace had just been built in 2001 so was brand new and the surrounding area was a buliding site although im now told it is all completed now
The hotel is absolutely beautiful top class rooms are clean , pool is a nice size reception are very good also and any problems tell them and they will sort it immediately
if you are on a half board basis also the meals used to be lovely plenty of choice although bear in mind they cater for all europeans so will have a mixture not fish and chips every night like some people expect
this hotel is situated near to port aventura studios theme park also which is defo worh a visit
all in all your set to have a lovely holiday with a great hotel
let us know how it goes thanks
We stayed there last October 2004 and we couldn't fault it on anything..ok, that might be pushing it a bid...we did find the bar staff a bit grumpy...but otherwise everything else was second to none.
Accommodation - excellent - clean, linen changed every day
Pools..excellent ..with fulltime lifeguard
Food - on a half board basis...we found a great variety...for kids as well as adults...a good breakfast option (at no additional cost) is the fied eggs , rashers and sousages...or an omlette of your choice !
Location...very close to the centre and beach but not exactly in the centre...just perfect..and only about 300 yards from Post Aventura...ALSO its only about 150 yards from the 'Post Aventura' Station from which you can go ito Tarragona or Barcelona by train...and arrive back on your hotel doorstep in the evening..not requiring taxis.
Good luck and ENJOY !!!!

Food is excellent, however the first time I stayed there we were there 2 weeks and obviously they repeat the menu every week, so did get a bit samey. Plenty of choice though and even a special childrens food section and puddings galore.
Great for kids, plenty going on of a night and they have a small play area for them. Their best kept secret is a rooftop solarium which gives you a great view of the Dragon Khan ride at Port Aventura - a great day out ! A short taxi ride away, but you can walk home down the hill ! Staff very friendly and the reception has air conditioning, great when you come in. Rooms spacious and clean, can't fault the place. Have a great time!
Stayed in this hotel 2 weeks ago and would highly recommend it! Only grumble is not much choice for vegetarians for dinner but apart from that excellent!
stayed in this hotel twice with the family and it's great for location for theme park and shops, beach etc. h10 hotels are the best(my opinion) and wouldn't hesitate to book here again. lovely pools and rooftop jacuzzis and meals are quite good, loads to choose from. spotless rooms.entertainment laid on day and night.anyone going?enjoy!
