Last time we were in Marmaris, we walked past the Leodiyka, and i thought to myself 'what a 'c*appy looking place' and felt sorry for anyone who was put in there - So you have surprised me with your comments. Its just goes to show how looks can be deceiving and how i shouldnt judge a book blah blah

Shame you encountered some probs down in the marina - Hopefully it didnt overshadow the rest of your holiday

anyone have anymore up to date reports on these apartments? going for 2 weeks in august this year but really dont like the beach so need a decent pool - any info?

We are booked in there for June, We normally do DIY, but the price we paid was less than I could get the flights for!

So I did a bit of research,,,, this is what I found so far..

These apartments are quite Basic. Only just over 2* (normal Basic Accomodation for Goldtrail)

They are Situated behind the Solaris Shopping Center and Cinema. One road back from the main Drag (Road is: 107 Sokqak,,,, #27) Memo me your e-mail addy if you would like street Map.

Pool is VERY small and set amoungst tall buildings.

Close to Market, MacDonalds, beach, Harbour ect.

All in all you get what you pay for, we just want a clean bed for the night

If the pool is too small, I would advise having a stroll around and look for Apartments with decent pool, as long as you are buying their food/drinks/icecreams ect. there is not normally a problem with you using the pool at another location.

The Apartments were as aspected,,,, pretty Basic and dated but clean and tidy. We had a studio apartment right above the bar,,, but wasn't too bad, as Leodikya are the only apartments in the street,,, very quiet street !

The staff were pretty good,,, the owner speaks very little english, but the main Bar Man 'Musty' spoke very good English and was a good laugh,,, (once he is awake,,,) Just don't speak to him if he has just woken up,,, cos he ain't with it.... hee hee

The apatments were in fantastic location,,, only one street back from main beach/prom. We found some great places to eat behind the apartments,,, there is a Road running up to the markets and armutalan.. Loads of shops and bars. Turn right out of apartments to end of street, and right again.

We had a fantastic boat trip. was all inclusive and we only payed £12 each,,, it included ALL drinks,, toastie for breakfast and also a lovely lunch..and transport from apartments. We booked it with guy next to the waterpipe cafe... opposite the euro bar. boat was called Dianna i think...

Pool is very small and in shade untill about dinner time,, but it does get sun for a few hours in the afternoon.

The Apartments food and drink prices were VERY reasonable. and they have half price cocktails and buy one get one free happy hours. we only ate there once. Had pizza, salad & chips,,, had a good giggle cos the Pizza was delivered,,,!!! hee hee...

Our air conditioning wasn't working when we arrived,, so we complained,,, it was fixed/refilled within a few hours and worked great for the rest of week.

Our first time with Gold trail,, and we were quite Impressed !!! fantastic flight out,, we even had extra leg room seats at NO extra costs,, also had 'private' transfer waiting,,, was a people carrier with only 4 of us on it, ace!!. have to say we will USE Goldtrail again !..

Lily - you will have a lovely time when you go on Saturday, these apartments are ideally situated to the beach , shops and boat trips, the staff at the apartments are really friendly,i don't know about you but i feel better when i know the place is clean, these certainly were, I would definitely go back again once i've finished seeing other parts of Turkey

We have just come back from the Leodiyka, what can I say, the apartments were clean and very central to everything. They were basic but we were more than happy with them. We ate there a couple of times and the food was very cheap and very nice. When you go say hello to Musty from Jackie, Stacy, Nikki & Sam, he is the manager and treated us very well. The pool is very small but its nice to relax there after a day at the beach. We were in a 1 bedroom apartment on the top floor, At least the stairs kept us fit Have a great holiday

have just returned...the Leodikya was NOT a place i would recommend to anyone.. the place is extemely rundown and looks dirty ..when we arrived i didnt even want to sit down we immediately went to the rep who said no other accomodation was available with Goldtrail so we stuck it out for 3 days..the staff were friendly enough but after being given dirty towels back on our 3rd day we decided enough was enough and checked ourselves into the Selen 1 hotel 4* for £250 inc air con & safe deposit for 10 days see review under Selen 1 marmaris. the Leodikya was 280million lira for air con which was useless and safe deposit box and we only got 100million back after 3days - definitely not a place for kids as the pool is the size of a bath but so deep you cant see the bottom and the kids section fits 1 child only - if you have a choice do not take the Leodikya
