we`ve stayed at the Coralli which is after Pefkos and the transfer time was about 45 mins

transfer time to pefkos is around 2 hours but i have it on good authority that a taxi costs around £25 from the airport and takes about 45 minutes.
we are are taking a taxi this as the coach ride last year was unbearable! only 5 weeks to go!

Can be up to 2 hour as it all depends on all passengers getting their luggage off the carousel , finding the tour rep , finding the right bus , and the usual faffing around that happens in the airport, then assuming your bus gets off on time - depends again on how many stops & drops off there are en route.
At that time of the morning there should be very little traffic problems but we ALWAYS get a taxi nowadays- then (if it's still open!) you can be nicely esconsed in the bar by the time the hoardes arrive!!!
Be sure to get a price before you get in.
Also as a matter of courtesy let the tour rep know what you are doing otherwise your fellow passengers won't be happy to have to wait for you.

Stayed at Pefkos last year. Transfer to pefkos took around an hour and a half, return was over two hours. Depends on how many drop-offs/pick-ups involved.

Taxi solves the problem, 45 mins. and you're in the bar. (Haven't found a hotel yet in Greece where the bar has been closed, no matter what time we arrive.) Yammas

As Greeklass points out, let the Rep know what you are doing, just don't be surprised if they fail to pass on the info. to the Rep on the transfer coach.

all, we are staying at the lindia thalassa in pefkos we are thinking of taking a taxi from the airport as we have a 12 month old son, do taxi's allow children in with out child seatsAnd as it's our first time in rhodes i take it the taxis are racked up like every other airport. is the cost around 40 euro, and will it halve the coach time.

yes they do allow infants in without car seats and are outside airport

Hi there ive stayed in Pefkos 3 / 4 times and the transfer is already stated around 2 to 2 1/2hrs. Somehow we were very lucky once and recieved a taxi transfer free as we were the only ones for the resort. Sadly that was a few yrs ago and Pefkos is much more popular now. Just wanted to say enjoy your stay its one of the best resorts we've ever been to!

Having just returned, I can answer my own question for anyone else who may be interested......transfers were brilliant both ways at just over one hour. I guess we may have just been lucky, but First Choice did seem to be spot on. So a taxi wasnt really necessary.

We had a coach transfer to Pefkos last week and the journey took about 1 hour. We made a stop for about 5 minutes outside lindos on the way.

absolutely loved Pefkos, found it just relaxed enough, yet just busy enough if that makes sense??? Being mid 40's couple with only our youngest (11) child coming with us nowadays, it was actually perfect for our family. Beach was excellent, not too busy, plenty of lovely tavernas just local for long lunches...(philosophia and Oasis being our favourites) We did the lovely glass bottomed boat trip from Pefkos little harbour to Lindos, which was probably the highlight of our holiday.... note to anyone going to pefkos you MUST take this trip....we did other more expensive boat trips but this one stands out! Sorry if I'm going off thread, but where is your number one if Pefkos is number 2????

Our Manos rep Colin (great guy!) told us that all the reps are working together to improve & speed up the transfer process! We still got a taxi 40 mins to Stegna & return
