Here is more info on thios hotel, Visited between 26th July - 10th A|ug 2005. Nice Hotel with good site for beach ( 85% sand ) Food was good however it was hard going the 2nd week. The up side is that it is good for small kids upto age 8 with its owm kids pools etc and kids club. We had a 11 and a 17 year old and they were a bit bored on same days as the activities were not geared to this age group. The rooms were on the small side and could have been bigger. If you have a room on the side you either have a building site 50 yards away or open green grass on the other. The beach view is great, BUT the disco music which is near the beach can be heard up into your room at 2 - 3 o'clock am....
Overall good for small kids but can be very busy at meal times.
Let me know if you need any other info....
We've got 3 weeks to go. Anymore info on the Lara Beach Hotel, Lara Beach, Antayla? Or the area/things to do.
We're going to the Lara Beach Hotel Antayla, in 3 days any update on resort or the hotel - particular room to ask for?
We are looking at this hotel for next year so will be interested to hear your views on your return!!
Does anyone have any useful info on the Lara beach hotel please? I am finding conflicting reports on what's actually included in the AI.
Thanks!
http://www.baruthotels.com and it gives pictures of the Lara Beach bedrooms, does anyone know if these are the standard rooms, or deluxe ones?
Thanks to anyone who replies.
Dont know if anyone on HT has been yet, but I've got a question about the rooms at the Lara Beach hotel. If you go onto the Barut hotels website, Thanks to anyone who replies.
there are a couple of reviews of this hotel on the review pages, sounds like these rooms are the standard.
As I've now been converted to Turkey my parents are interested in going there in October for a week.
They are looking to be spoilt so at least 4* with lovely surroundings, excellent food and preferably a choice of restaurants. They like watching the entertainment too so that would be a plus. I was thinking of the Delphin Palace but have read people holding the Barut Lara in high esteem, your thoughts will be very welcome, thanks.
can anyone tell me if beach towels are provided?
Lira or euros to pay taxi from airport? How much to expect to pay, are the taxis metered or should a price be agreed before setting off?
Any other info on the hotel would be appreciated.
many thanks in advance
Chris
Get a price of taxi driver at airport. We paid 24 lira in May to the Titanic which is very near. I should think beach towels are provided they are at all other hotels on that strip. Have a good time Regards Denny
What did you think of the resort itself, I know there's not alot there, how did you find the beach, nice sand? good for kids?
thanks
Chris
Not a lot to do in surrounding area but plenty of 'shopping bazaars' around selling usual handbags, t-shirts etc. And a very large shopping centre selling designer clothes, it has a Haribo sweet shop inside!! and lovely childrens clothes shops but they are all genuine. And very expensive.. Outside this mall is a large shopping bazaar (2 floors) selling usual tourist stuff.
You could take a trip to Antalya. Huge city with lovely harbour, plenty of boat trips etc. Your hotel may have courtesy coach there, a lot of hotels do.
Denny
