hello. we are a couple going to stay in panorama hotel next week. have read good and bad things about it. can anyone give us an update if it is good or not.what kind of restaurants and things to do in area.

only 6 days to go. so excited. never been to malta before. my partner and i wanted quietish holiday and mellieha bay was recommended. we are staying at panorama hotel. is it very far from anywhere? ie- shops bars restaurants?

Hello Debs

You are about a five minute walk to the main street, where there are restaurants and a few bars. The bus stop is also there where you can go into Buggiba/St Paulks/Qawra should you want to there are plenty of bars there. The bus journey is around 10 mins and if you stay late you will have to get a taxi back which will cost around 6Lm.

For a fantastic steak try the Half Way Inn which is a 10 min' walk down the hill from you!

interesting place to visit - near the big church 10 minutes walk from your hotel.

Live music most nights at the pubs that offer a resonable priced pint at the top of the hill as you enter Mellieha (near the petrol station)
