I would just use the pay phones on the street, as we usually do. We just put a euro in and we get quite a while for that. I do know that there is a phone shop near Puerto colon which is run by a english guy. He used to come on the Tenerife forum. And he does good deals on sim cards. I'll find out the exact location if you like and maybe your daughter could give him a visit. But pay phones are not to bad. And your not gonna run up a bill are you.
Maybe you don't like to say but what job is your daughter doing. I'm going out soon and i could say Hi to her if you like.

The shop you refer to is opposite the Nina hotel, up the side street, it is called the Dog and Roam I think. The chap is very helpful. Carole
Nina hoptel is in Torviacas on the main street
